Tossed, the healthy food to go concept, expects to attract further investment to its 162% over-funded crowdfunding campaign before it closes on Friday.

The company has so far raised over £1.2m against a target of £750,000.

Finance director Neil Sebba told M&C the decision had been taken to close the campaign at the end of this week and that there were still potential investors expected to add to the tally before that time.

The London-based firm said it would use the funds to target high street, retail and motorway locations in London and the south east, while continuing to seek further international expansion.

The business has already secured 24 sites, including six motorway service stations and three in Dubai. Its partner in Dubai has secured three locations this year, including one the Palm Jumeirah and another in the Airport Freezone.
