Tortilla has signed a development agreement with SSP Group, which will see the Mexican fast-casual brand open five travel hub sites within the next year.

The first opening – Tortilla’s 43rd UK restaurant – will be in London’s Euston Station, with four further sites planned for 2020.

Richard Morris, managing director, Tortilla, said: “This creates fantastic growth opportunities for Tortilla in some outstanding travel locations around the UK and hopefully further afield.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Tortilla Euston in action.”

Tortilla has recent opened in Wardour St in Soho London, Cabot Circus in Bristol, Market Square in Cambridge and Cornmarket Street in Oxford. Combined with the new Euston site and its restaurants in the Middle East its estate now totals 50 restaurants.

Andy Webb, business development director, SSP UK & Ireland, added: “We’re delighted to have added high-street favourite Tortilla to our list of brand partners. This new unit will be an exciting addition to the food and beverage offer at Euston, and we’re confident they will be well-received by travellers passing through the station as well as those who live and work in the area.”

Tortilla is also set to re-open its location in Westfield London next week as part of the shopping centre’s new food court, with the site to feature a new evening menu.
