The Institute of Competitive Socialising, the group behind crazy golf concept Swingers, has appointed advisors to explore funding options, MCA has learnt.

The group, which currently operates two sites, has appointed Tamweel Capital as it evaluates its options for its next stage of growth.

MCA understands that the business has been the subject of several investor approaches over the past year.

It comes as the group prepares for next year’s launch in New York, in the basement of the new flagship Virgin Hotel in New York.

ICS opened its Swingers second site, in the 20,000 sq ft former BHS store in Oxford Street, in March, featuring two nine-hole courses, four bars, three private rooms, two pergola seating areas and four street food-style kiosks, which are run respectively by Patty & Bun, Made of Dough, Hackney Gelato and Breddos Tacos.

Speaking to MCA earlier this year, Grech-Smith and Simmonds said they saw plenty of opportunity for the Swingers brand in the US and for regional cities in the UK and that they were also thinking about other formats and concepts that could take their entertainment-led style of hospitality even further.
