Restaurant company Grupo Sagardi, which operates c30 sites in Spain and around the world, is planning to make its debut in the UK next year, M&C understands.
The company, which was founded in Barcelona in 1996, is currently in advanced talks to open a site in Curtain Road, Shoreditch.
The opening, which is thought will be under its eponymous brand, plans to open in London, Mexico and Holland over the coming 12 months as it look to further develop globally over the coming years.
Led by Inaki and Mikel Lopez de Vinaspre, the company took its first international expansion steps in 2008 with openings in Portugal, Chile and Argentina.
In Buenos Aires, it debuted it accommodation model - SAGARDI Loft Osteria, which it may look to reproduce in London.
