Ben Shaughnessy, the former chief operating officer of the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group Australia, has joined Chick ‘n’ Sours, the London-based chicken concept, as its new operations director, MCA understands.

Shaughnessy joins the three-strong concept, which is backed by Active Partners, after eight years with the Jamie OIiver Restaurant Group, including a stint as brand director.

Chick ‘n’ Sours recently opened its third site in Upper Street, Islington, a site previously earmarked for its more fast-casual concept Chik’n.

The brand was founded in 2015 by Carl Clarke and David Wolanski with a focus on fried chicken and cocktails.

Sister concept Chik’n was launched last year in Baker Street but was later remodelled to bring it more in line with the casual dining ethos of Chick ‘n’ Sours.
