Sebeto, the Italian-based restaurant company, has opened its third restaurant in the UK under its Rosso Pomodoro brand, in Covent Garden.

The company, which runs over 50 restaurants in Europe and one in Brazil, said the new 100-cover restaurant would act as its flagship outlet in the UK, as it seeks further expansion in the region.

It opened its first UK site in Fulham in May 2006, and also operates a further restaurant under the brand in Kensington.

The group acquired the former Gili Gulu site close to Upper St Martin’s Lane from Riverplain Ltd for a premium of £450,000.

Cedar Dean acted on behalf of Riverplain.
