Rita’s Bar and Dining, the highly-regarded pop-up venture, is to open its first permanent site in London Fields, Hackney, M&C Report understands.
The concept, which is the brainchild of Jackson Boxer, Gabriel Pryce & Missy Flynn, has taken a site on Mare Street for an opening later this year.
Rita’s will be 60-cover restaurant split on two levels with a large bar at its centre and will be serving-amongst “other delicious fares what critic Jay Rayner called ‘probably the best fried chicken you will ever have’”.
The concept started life as a pop-up in East London founded by four friends “who share a love for great food and drink, music and good times”.
Earlier this year, it ended a temporary residence at the Birthdays site in Stoke Newington Road, Dalston.
