Board directors at The Restaurant Group (TRG), the operator of Frankie & Benny’s, have bought shares in the group worth nearly £200,000. Five directors including chief executive Andrew Page and finance director Stephen Critoph bought 134,561 shares at between 146p-147p, equating to a combined outlay of £197,604. Page spent £69,558 on 47,319 shares while Critoph paid £32,949 for 22,414 shares. Kevin Bacon, operations director, spent £35,145 acquiring 23,908 shares while Trish Corzine, who heads TRG’s concessions business, invested £30,752 on 20,920 shares. John Jackson, a non-executive director, paid £29,200 for 20,000 shares. The purchases, which were made the day after the group reported preliminary results last week, did not however manage to lift the TRG share price, which has since fallen to currently trade at 133p.
