The Real China, the Chinese buffet chain, has secured a site at the Gloucester Quays development.

The company, which is backed by Hengjia Holdings and nearing the 30-site mark in the UK, will join operators such as Ed’s Easy Diner, Zizzi, Chimichanga and Loungers, at the development, with an opening scheduled for later this year.

The group recently secured its first site in Manchester at the Peel Group’s Lowry shopping outlet in the city, with an opening scheduled for this month.

The group, which opened its 24th and latest site at the Eagle Meadows scheme in Wrexham last month, has further openings lined up this summer in the New Square development in West Bromwich and in Dolphin Square, Weston-Super-Mare.

The chain is thought to have already reached an agreement on a further four units for 2014.
