Pho, the Vietnamese restaurant group run by Stephen and Juliette Wall, is set to open in Cambridge, M&C has learnt.

The 16-strong group, which recently opened its first site in Birmingham, in the city’s new £150m shopping centre, Grand Central at Birmingham New Street Station, has secured the former SYRENS site in Peas Hill close to Pint Shop, for an opening in early 2016.

The company, which also recently opened in Manchester’s Corn Exchange, is set to open in Ealing Broadway before the end of the year.

Earlier this year, it secured just over £8m of new funding from NatWest, which should help the group grow to 30 sites over the next two to three years.

At the same time, it appointed Mark Smith, formerly of Sweaty Betty and Evans Cycles as its new finance director.

It is thought that the company is close to securing a further site for its openings pipeline.
