Pesto, the north west-based pub and restaurant chain owned by La Tasca founder Neil Gatt, has opened its first pub with rooms after taking the lease of the Dibbinsdale Inn on the Wirral from Daniel Thwaites. The group, which is planning to open 10 more sites under its Pesto in a Pub format next year, has invested £200k in refurbishing the Dibbinsdale and it now features 12 letting bedroom, alongside the main pub restaurant. Gatt, who currently operates a three further Pesto in a Pub sites, said: “Comprising six single, four double and two twin rooms, Pesto at the Dibbinsdale Inn provides all the little luxuries you’d expect from a larger hotel coupled with the individual charm and character of a cosy independently-run inn.” The group is believed to be talks with Punch Taverns regarding taking a fifth site before the end of the year.
