McDonald’s is trialling a new version of its McCafe format, without burgers.
According to Le Figaro, Paris’s newest McCafe – on Rue Rambuteau - serves club sandwiches, salads, soups and macaroons but without its staple products.
It is not the first time McDonald’s has experimented with alternative formats. In 2010, the group opened a McCafé in La Défense which tried to make a feature of a large central salad bar butit closed a year later.
McDonald’s France told Le Figaro that it’s ‘too early’ to say whether the new format would be a success.
