Maxwell’s Restaurant Group has confirmed that it will be opening a new concept – Old Compton Brasserie, this summer.

As previously reported by MCA, the all-day British brasserie will open at 36-38 Old Compton Street, Soho, on the former site of Muriel’s Kitchen.

The new restaurant will be open for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks and will have the capacity for 170 covers.

It will feature a floating mezzanine, outdoor seating and a large horse-shoe bar serving cocktails.

The new venue takes the Group’s portfolio to 10 sites in total.

Earlier this month, the company announced its Maxwell’s Bar & Grill on Covent Garden’s James Street, would be relocating to King Street after 25 years due to “unsustainable rent increases”. It will be reopening on 10 April on the site currently operating as Joe’s Southern Table and Bar, also owned by Maxwell’s Restaurant Group. A new site for Joe’s is set to open this May in Covent Garden.
