Living Ventures, the north west-based restaurant and bar company led by Tim Bacon, has secured its first site in London for its cocktail bar and restaurant concept, The Alchemist.

The company, which is in funding talks regarding its Gusto brand, has secured a site at 6 Bevis Marks, the new 16-storey scheme, in the City for the brand, with an opening scheduled for this May.

The opening will be the fourth under the brand and Bacon has previously talked of opening further sites under the concept in Liverpool and Birmingham.

The group opened its most recent The Alchemist in Trinity Leeds last year. The site is believed to be taking in access of £70k in average weekly sales.

Last year, Bacon said he was eyeing “steady, organic growth” for the company’s Australasia, Artisan and the Alchemist brands over the next few years and could explore further standalone opportunities for new bar/café format Grand Pacific.
