Leon is to expand its partnership with travel hub operator SSP, with new openings planned for Beaconsfield Services on the M40 and Cobham Services on the M25, MCA understands.

In addition to its partnership with SSP, Leon has also been expanding its travel hub sites through its partnership with Roadchef. Earlier this year it opened a site at Roadchef’s Rownhams site, near Southampton, and its Northampton location on the M1.

Adam Blaker, development and property director at Leon, told MCA at the time it was looking to open further sites through Roadchef in 2020.

The fast food brand is to open its first site in Leeds next week, on the northern concourse at Leeds train station, which will be the first Leon to feature a digital ordering system.

Blaker told LeedsLive: “Fans have been requesting a Leon in Leeds through our social media for such a long time and we’re glad we can finally fulfil this: with not just any Leon but the first-ever digital Leon.”

Other new openings include a restaurant on the Southbank (Southbank Place), while Leon has just opened a site in Wimbledon.
