La Tasca is to ramp up its coffee offer after announcing a new partnership that will see the Spanish tapas bar and restaurant operator introducing Lavazza’s professional Capsule espresso systems, ‘Lavazza BLUE’, throughout its estate.

The company said that the new partnership will ensure that the “highest quality coffee” is served to its customers on a consistent basis.

The Lavazza BLUE machines that La Tasca is adopting are an adaptation of the traditional espresso machine, but instead of using a grinder and beans, the system uses a Lavazza coffee capsule to make each espresso, therefore guaranteeing the perfect coffee each time for customers.

Lavazza said he had worked with Ferran Adrià for decades, producing innovative creations that combine two infamous European cuisines – Italian and Spanish.

It said its association with Spanish dining was further cemented through its newpartnership with La Tasca, which prides itself on its quality authentic food, provenance and creating a real Spanish revolution in dining.

Simon Wilkinson, chief executive at La Tasca, said: “We have made the decision to replace all of our current espresso equipment with the new Lavazza system, which sees La Tasca being the first major high street casual dining operator to switch to this system, yet again staying one step ahead of the competition. We are thrilled to be entering into this new relationship – and, as revolution is at the forefront of everything we do, looking for innovative ways to develop our guest offering continues to inform our decision making.”
