Zizzi has opened its first new restaurant since 2019, at Leicester’s Fosse Park, which will be followed by a further opening in Lancaster next month.
The Leicester site is the latest in the chain’s rollout of its refreshed look, with artwork inspired by the local area, alongside its wood-fired pizza oven.
Harry Heeley, managing director, Zizzi Restaurants commented: “We are delighted to be opening the doors today to our brand-new Zizzi Fosse Park restaurant, the first in over two years.
“Fosse Park is a fantastic location to have a second restaurant in the city of Leicester. We cannot wait to see our customers enjoying themselves over our much-loved Italian dishes with a twist. We look forward to an exciting 2022.”
Speaking to MCA earlier this month, Zizzi’s marketing director Rachel Hendry said the business was on a mission to become “a superbrand”, with a sharpened brand identity, that has come to life in its restaurants via new uniforms and tableware, for example.
