Guinea pigs could soon be on the menu at British restaurants. Peruvians have developed a “superpig” designed to offer diners a nutritious low-fat meal. Exporters say they are ready to market the Raza Peru variety if there is sufficient demand. Tito’s Peruvian Restaurant, in London, is prepared to offer guinea pig as a speciality but another, Fina Estampa, also in London, said there was no way it would serve the popular pet.
