Australian chef Bill Granger has confirmed plans to open a third restaurant in London under his Granger & Co brand.

Granger & Co Kings Cross will open on the ground floor of the Stanley Building on St Pancras Square in May–June.

The 86-cover restaurant follows the opening of the chef’s restaurants in Notting Hill and Clerkenwell and it will serve the same all-day offering inspired by Granger’s ‘far-flung travels’.

In November the group appointed its first operations director, Avron Alhadeff, who told M&C Report there are plans to open more restaurants and that expanding the pipeline was part of the reason he was brought on board.

Granger said: “Kings Cross is the most connected place in London, and is set up for ideas - with Central St Martins, The Francis Crick Institute and Google as just a few of our neighbours. It’s a new creative hub in the most creative city of the world. I’m thrilled at the prospect of being part of it.”

This is the third site from Granger, adding to his restaurants at Westbourne Grove that opening in 2011 and in Clerkenwell Green, which opened last year. Bill Granger also operates restaurants worldwide in Sydney, Tokyo, Honolulu and Seoul.

Leisure property specialists Shelly Sandzer acted on behalf of office space providers the Office Group.

Oliver Olsen at the Office Group, said: “Granger and Co. marks a significant addition to the development of the Stanley Building. Due to its design, transport links and respected commercial neighbours it is such a desirable location, and as you would expect, there was fierce competition for the space.

“Amongst such interest, the experts at Shelley Sandzer secured and delivered a very good deal with Granger and Co. on our behalf. The high-profile restaurant and its impressive offer suit the area perfectly.”
