Gordon Ramsay Street Burger is to open its first Scottish site, in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter.

The business has secured a unit within the Ribbon building, on levels four and five of the development – opposite the Everyman Cinema.

The 5,600 sq double height unit will feature a games lounge and DJ booth, as Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurant Group looks to elevate the concept for the Edinburgh venue.

In November, MCA revealed that Duck & Waffle has secured a location on level four of the St James Quarter development, overlooking Register Square, for its first restaurant in Scotland, and only second in the UK.

Ed Corrigan at St James Quarter, said: “We are delighted that Gordon Ramsay has chosen a flagship space within St James Quarter for Street Burger’s Scottish debut.

“Edinburgh is clearly a city close to his heart and we think our guests will be wowed by what he and his team have got planned for the space.”

St James Quarter opened in June 2021. It comprises 850,000 sq ft of retail space, alongside a mix of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant group will also be opening a new Bread Steet Kitchen & Bar in Battersea Power Station later this year, with the chef having just opened his third restaurant within the Savoy, called Restaurant 1890.
