A botanicals-inspired Indian restaurant with lounge and cocktail bar is opening in London’s South Kensington in October.

Flora Indica on Old Brompton Road will pay homage to the work of British botanists during the Victorian era with a menu inspired by the British Isles’ connection to India.

The 70-cover restaurant will serve a menu created by Suresh Pillai of Gymkhana and Veeraswamy to include Scottish scallops poached in juniper‐coconut milk, Cornish mussels with ginger and tamarind broth; Tamworth pork vindaloo.

A 30-cover cocktail bar will offer craft beers from the Portobello Brewery, malt whiskeys, served in the main restaurant and a dedicated small-batch gin and punch bar.
