Online meal delivery service EatFirst is expanding to cover the whole of London and Berlin before looking to expand into other UK cities from next year, M&C has learnt.

Co-founder Rahul Parekh said the company is expanding the service to cover London Zones 1 – 3 from next month.

Parekh said: “The plan is to cover all of London by the end of 2015 and internationally from next year.” He said Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton and Edinburgh are all currently being analysed to launch in.

“The whole concept around delivering healthy, convenient food has been met with a great reception in both London and Berlin and I think we are on the way to getting there before launching internationally,” he said

EatFirst is adding around 100 new meals to its menu from next month as it re-vamps its menu as well as working on improvements to its app and online platform to improve the customer experience.

Parekh said he is “pretty happy with how things are progressing” and they are gaining new customers as well a “significant amount of repeat custom”.

He said the dinner trade is currently busier than the lunchtime offering and people are demanding more variety for an evening meal compared to lunchtime as well as being less spontaneous with their choices.

To differentiate from other food delivery platforms, Parekh said EatFirst is much more like an online restaurant than a delivery platform such as Deliveroo.
