D&D London is set to open an all-new restaurant in Bristol next month.

Klosterhaus, a Mittel-European and German concept, will launch in the Grade I-listed Quakers Friars building in the city’s Cabot Circus on 2 October.

The two-storey venue will incorporate a restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace, as well as a number of event spaces for business meetings and social events.

The menu will feature a series of Mittel-European and German classics, including soused herring with herring caviar, sweet mustard, potato and apple salad, chicken and veal schnitzels, and sharing plates of slow-roasted Creedy Carver duck, potato dumpling and braised red cabbage.

“Quaker Friars is an absolute gem of a building and I hope that Klosterhaus will bring it to life,” said D&D chairman and CEO Des Gunewardena. “Bristol has a very exciting foodie scene and I hope that we can contribute to and become part of it.

“We are very pleased to be working again with Hammerson and are very supportive and enthusiastic about their plans for the overall development of Quakers Friars.”
