Corbin & King, the Minor Hotels-backed restaurant group behind The Delaunay and The Wolseley, will open its ninth site later this year in London’s St John’s Wood.
The company, which has been linked with making its regional debut in Bicester under the name Café Wolseley on the current Villandry site, has secured the Carluccio’s site in St John’s Wood High Street for a venture described by King as a hybrid of two of its existing sites – “think Colbert meets Fischer’s but with its own identity”.
Late last year, Minor Hotels acquired a 74% stake in Corbin & King from Graphite Capital.
It said it was looking to launch the business in other UK sites and international locations.
Jake Bernstone at Stonebrook London acted on the St John’s Wood deal.
