Comptoir Libanais, the Lebanese chain, which floated earlier this year, has further strengthened its pipeline for 2017, a year in which it hopes to open 12 to 14 new sites, MCA understands.

The company, which opened its fifteenth site yesterday in Bath, has secured a site at The Oracle in Reading for an opening next year. It has already secured an opening at the Westgate scheme in Oxford for an opening in 2017.

At the same time, MCA understands that the group is close to securing further central London site for its more fast-casual format Shawa.

It will open the third site under the format this weekend on the former YO! Sushi site in Haymarket.

The company, which recently opened in Exeter and Soho, is set to open two further restaurants in London before the year end under its core brand – its first in-store restaurant in John Lewis’s flagship Oxford Street store and a venue in Gloucester Road, Kensington, that will launch in November.
