Camille’s, the American ice cream bar operator, plans to launch the concept into the UK and believes it could grow to 100 sites over three to four years, M&C Report has learnt.

The company, which opened its first site in Texas in 2010, is working with World Franchise Associates to take the brand into Britain.

A spokesman said the concept operates across a variety of different sizes and would suit different locations including transport hubs, shopping centres and within department stores.

He told M&C Report that 30 regions in the UK would be targeted and the aim is to roll it out to 100 outlets in three to four years.

Camille’s allows people to customise their selection by choosing the type of lolly - ice cream, yogurt or non-dairy - and select from a range of 11 dressings including M&Ms, pecans, almonds and peanuts. The lolly is “dunked” in chocolate as requested.

There’s an option to add foods such as sandwiches, morning parfaits and fresh fruits, as well as coffee and bottled drinks, and seating is available in some sites.

Camille’s, which was created by entrepreneur Rome Gregorio, is looking to roll out to a four countries and sees the UK as a gateway to Europe.
