Byron, the upmarket burger chain, has secured a further site in London, in Fulham Broadway. The chain, which is by Tom Byng, has secured a unit at 11 Bank Buildings, next to Bodean's and across the road from Gourmet Burger Kitchen, with an opening scheduled for the end of February. The group, which currently has 27 sites in operation, is set to open its first site in the north after securing a unit at the Liverpool One scheme, this June. It has also already secured two further sites for this year, the former Fine Burger site at the O2 Centre in Finchley and the Pizza Express in Cowcross Street, with both due to open over the next month. Gondola is believed to have appointed DC Advisory Partners to advise on a possible sale of its upmarket burger chain, which has been given an estimated value of £100m. It is understood to have around seven or eight units in the pipeline for the next 12 months.
