Byron, the premium burger group, which secured its first site in Scotland, in Glasgow, earlier this year, is looking to add a further opening in the Scottish capital.

The 50-strong group has applied to open at the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on North Bridge in Edinburgh.

It will open a 190-cover restaurant in Glasgow’s West George Street later this year.

M&C Report understands that the group, which will open its latest site next week in Derby, has also applied to open a site in Saw Close, Bath.

The group has secured sites in the intu shopping scheme in Derby, Canterbury and the Eden shopping centre in High Wycombe, for further openings this year.

The Tom Byng-led brand has also lined up openings in Chelmsford, Harrogate and a further unit in Manchester, at the new Corn Exchange development, for this year.

The Hutton Collins-backed group has secured further openings in Southampton and Worcester for 2016.
