Burger & Lobster, the Goodman Restaurant Group-owned brand, hopes to open its second site in the US before the end of the year, after securing a further unit in New York.
The company is set to open a 160-cover restaurant at the Durst Organization’s One Bryant Park building.
The group has taken a c9,000sq ft unit at the 51-story building at Sixth Avenue and 42nd Street. Asking rent at the space was about $1m per year, the New York Post has reported.
The company opened its first US site at 39 West 19th Street in New York’s Flatiron District in 2014.
The group has three openings lined up in London, in Leicester Square, Holborn and West India Quay.
