Burger & Lobster, the London-based group, is in talks to open its first regional site in Manchester, M&C Report understands.

The six-strong group is believed to be close to securing a site at Ship Canal House, in the city’s King Street.

Parent company Goodman told M&C Report last year that it planned to roll out Burger & Lobster across the UK, as well as internationally, in the next couple of years, with a focus on both major and minor cities.

The brand is planning to launch in the Middle East and is close to securing a franchise partner for an opening in Dubai next year.

The company will open its first international site this autumn in New York.

Burger & Lobster will open in a two-story space between Fifth and Sixth avenues in New York City.

Turnover for the group stood at £17.7m in the year to 29 December 2013.

It is thought to be also exploring opportunities in Covent Garden and West Quay.
