Brasserie Bar Co is to launch its White Brasserie Pubs format and Brasserie Blanc brand in the North West after securing two former Loch Fyne sites in the region, M&C has learnt.

The company, which is led by Mark Derry, has secured the two former Loch Fyne sites in Knutsford and Alderley Edge, with former set to become a Brasserie Blanc and the latter a White Brasserie Pub early next year.

The two sites were part of a package of four Loch Fynes that Greene King placed on the market earlier this summer, with Arc Inspirations securing the unit in Leeds’ City Square for an opening under its all-day dining brand Banyan Bar & Kitchen next March.

It is thought that Greene King might explore further disposals from its Loch Fyne estate.

The four-strong Loch Fyne package, which is believed to also include the brand’s site in Sheffield, was placed on the market through James A Baker.

White Brasseries currently operates nine pubs in the South East, while Brasserie Blanc operates 19 sites across the UK.

Derry co-founded the Loch Fyne chain of restaurants, which was sold to Greene King for c£70m in 2007.
