Liverpool-based Black Lodge Brewery has secured a permanent site for its seafood and craft beer concept, Oktopus.

The concept will open at Hardman Yard, adjacent to Buyers Club, on Friday 21 April.

It follows a series of successful pop-ups by the group.

Christopher Ineson, head chef at Oktopus, says: “The pop-ups have been the perfect way to introduce Oktopus to Liverpool, they’ve given us the chance to trial dishes and new ideas, to listen to feedback and where we felt was appropriate, to refine.

“Customers coming to the new restaurant in Hardman Yard can expect to see a menu which is constantly changing and adapting, one that reflects the seasons, and uses local and sustainable ingredients when they are at the peak of their growing time.”

Highlights of the launch menu include Parisian Gnocchi with pink goats cheese, beet crisps and basil, Lamb Belly with white anchovies, cumin soubise, fried parsnips and braised leeks, as well as Sea Trout with smacked cucumbers and buttermilk labneh.

Oktopus trialled its food and drink offering throughout February and March while operating out of Black Lodge Brewery on Kitchen Street as a pop-up.
