Liverpool-based operator Bistro Qui? is looking to dispose of three of its sites – two in Liverpool and one in Shrewsbury.

It has instructed Christie & Co to sell The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen, and The Refinery, Kitchen Bar & Live Music in Liverpool city centre, and Bistro Jacques – a French restaurant in Shrewsbury.

Mark Friend, director of Bistro Qui? said: “We are selling these businesses with a view to pass the business on to a new operator that has the capacity to grow the three brands nationally.

“All three brands have proven that they can stand the test of time and develop nationally with the right investment.”

In March 2016 the restaurant group, led by Friend and Stephen Slater, appointed advisors to consider its future investment options, including a sale of the business.

At the time the business had four sites and was set to launch two new brands in Liverpool (one of which was The Refinery) and double up in Shrewsbury.

The group also operates Bistro Pierre, Bistro Franc, Peruvian street kitchen concept Chicha and The Button Street Smokehouse, all in Liverpool. It closed its Bistro Jacques restaurant in Liverpool earlier this year.
