Bird and Beast, the Leeds chicken rotisserie restaurant, is opening its second site in Manchester’s Deansgate in early 2015.
Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded chef Simon Shaw, who also runs El-Gato Negro in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, is due to open the restaurant that will use premium free range chicken to elevate the popular dish to a high quality level.
Last month Shaw told M&C Report: “Bird & Beast is all about very simple, high quality food at a reasonable price accompanied with a stylish relaxed setting that will appeal to a wide audience making it an attractive concept for future rollout.”
The new 4,000sq ft restaurant will feature a custom-made rotisserie as part of the open kitchen.
The first Bird and Beast opened in Leeds city centre in May where Shaw is planning to open an adjacent bar this autumn called Birds and Beats, which will also be replicated at the Manchester restaurant.
