Bella Italia, the Tragus-owned chain, has launched a new breakfast offer, which includes the opening times across its estate being pushed forward to 9am, M&C Report understands.

The new menu from the c90-strong group features a lighter breakfact snacks offer, including pastries and porride price from £1.95 to £2.95. There is also a toasted sandwiches option priced at £3.95 to £4.45.

There is also a “Gigante Breakfast” priced at £8.95 and a breakfast pizza at £7.25.

It also features a cooked breakfast option ranging from bacon & eggs at £4.45 and a bacon pnacke stack at £5.25 to steak & eggs at £10.95.

The launch of the new menu comes as Tragus look to evolve the offer a brand it believes is siginificant growth potential.

The brand, which is led by former The Restaurant Group director Nick White, has recently opened in Kettering, Huntingdon, Newcastle and Wolverhampton and is continuing the refurbishment programme it launched last year in Uxbridge.

White told M&C Report earlier this year: “The evolution of Bella is about pitching the brand right at the heart of mainstream eating-out. It is a brand with broad appeal and provides us with a significant opportunity. The challenge was how do we bring that forward without losing its existing customer base, but adding new customers.

“There is definitely opportunity for expansion. There are certainly opportunities on retail/leisure parks for Bella. I think we will look to add five to 10 sites in our next financial year to the estate and then hope to stay at a level of 10 new openings a year after that. The beauty of Bella is that it fits well across a number of different locations and more landlords are understanding what role it can play in their tenant mix.”
