The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group is lining up two international openings for its barbecue concept Barbecoa, MCA understands.

The group, which currently operates two sites under the concept in London, has lined up an opening in Bangkok and is believed to be in talks on a site in Austria.

MCA understands that the company is in talks with its joint venture partner in Hungary to launch a Barbecoa in Vienna, which would be the first opening for the concept in Continental Europe.

The group opened its second Barbecoa earlier this year in Piccadilly, with a third UK site under the brand set to open at the Nova scheme in Victoria.

The company said last year that it plans to open in excess of 100 further restaurants internationally in the next four years.
