Aagrah, the Yorkshire-based Indian restaurant chain, has announced a 10-year plan to double the size of its current 14-strong estate. The company, which was founded Mohammed Sabir in 1977, said it planned to target restaurants outside its Yorkshire heartland with up to 200 covers each. The group opened its latest site under its eponymous brand near Leeds earlier this year and has an annual turnover of c.£15m. Talking to TheBusinessDesk.com, managing director Mohammed Aslam said the group would look to open new outlets 15 to 20 miles from its existing Aagrah-branded sites. The family-run business also operates the Midpoint in Leeds, a £3m, purpose-built conference and banqueting centre.
