Renaissance Pubs has applied to register the name Three Cheers Pub Company as the company seeks to rebrand, M&C Report has learnt.

The London-based gastro-pub operator, which currently has seven sites, is set to launch its new brand in April.

However the company has applied for the trademark to Three Cheers Pub Company and Three Cheers Pub Co.

Tom Peake, co-founder and director, told M&C Report: “We can confirm that Renaissance Pubs Ltd, the award-winning London pub group with seven sites including The Avalon in Clapham and The Latchmere in Battersea, is in the process of negotiating a trademark issue and we are evaluating alternative company names. Our pubs are not affected in any way by this situation.”
