Licensee Nathan Wright of The Wandering Goose pub in Worthing, West Sussex is opening a second venue in the same south coast town.

The Libertine opens today (24 July) on the former Barney’s bar and restaurant as a bar serving food.

The bar is split over two floors with a function room, terrace and space for live music.

The Wandering Goose opened in November 2013 as a specialty craft beer bar on the seafront, which is undergoing a regeneration project and has since seen other café-bars open in the previously disregarded area.

Wright previously managed a number of pubs in Brighton including The Geese in Hanover, which lent its name to his first standalone pub.
