Daniel Thwaites, the Lancashire-based brewer and pub operator, has placed 14 pubs on the market with a combined asking price of just under £4m. The package, which includes a number of town centre sites, is comprised of 13 freeholds and one leasehold site. The group, which operates around 425 pubs and eight hotels in the North West, said the disposals would help it further fine-tune its estate. Chris Wright, property manager, said: “Following a strategic review, a number of pubs no longer fit the company profile and we have taken the decision to sell in order to grow and develop the estate.” The pubs, which are being marketed by Fleurets, are being sold individually or as a package, and have a combined asking price of £3.94m. They include the Kings Head in Heywood, and the Seven Stars in Wigan.
