The Revolution vodka bar operator Inventive Leisure has reported a 40% increase in operating profit in its most recent year. The company, with 64 sites, saw turnover rise from £81.5m in the year ended 30 June 2009 to £84.5m for its most recent year. Operating profit jumped from £3.5m to £4.6m. An interest bill of £6.7m produced a loss of £2.4m, down from £3.6m the year before — when the interest bill was £7.5m. During the year, the company opened bars in Sunderland, Brighton and Liverpool. In July 2010 a further bar, in America Square, London, was opened. A statement at Companies House, filed by parent company Caspian Topco, said the “group’s performance had been in line with expectations”. Private equity company Alchemy Partners owns 68% of Caspian Topco.
