Business has boomed at Mark Derry's Loch Fyne seafood restaurant chain since Deputy Premier John Prescott and Chancellor Gordon Brown had their famous meeting at the totally separate Loch Fyne Oyster Bar in Scotland. Although they share a name, the Oyster Bar is owned by its employees while Derry's operation is a fast-growing national chain that includes the fledgling Le Petit Blanc brasseries. But he has cannily cashed in on all the headlines by putting up signs saying: "Not all our customers are hungry for power." Derry explained: "You couldn't buy publicity like that for less than about £20m. Sales have been more than we could have expected." The Sunday Times 23/05/04 (Business) page 3.16
