A debate in Parliament on the leased pub company business model is to take place on Monday (14 October).

MP Greg Mulholland has secured the adjournment debate, which is a general debate in the House of Commons that doesn’t require a vote.

There is a half-hour adjournment debate at the end of each day’s sitting. The MP who tabled the relevant adjournment debate is called to speak and a minister from the relevant department - in the this instance the Business, Innovation & Skills department - will reply.

An Early Day Motion put forward by Mulholland on the Fair Deal for Your Local Campaign is the most popular in Parliament, signed by 152 MPs.
