The team behind Nine Lives bar in London Bridge and drinks agency Sweet&Chilli have taken over The Gunmakers in Clerkenwell.

Allan Gage and Tom Soden, Tim Whiting and Dan Lacey have taken on the 19th Century public house site, on Eyre Street Hill, where they serve craft beer, cocktails and Asian inspired dishes.

The site also has a hair studio and barber in the attic called Gunclub and garden with lanterns, blankets and heaters.

Head chef Madison Duffy, formerly of Wright Bros and Brooksby’s Walk, will serve dishes such as ox tongue spring roll with chilli jam; and crispy pig ears with nori.
