New World Pubco, the group founded and developed by Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts of Living Ventures, is looking to grow an estate of up between 15-20 sites over the next three to four years across the UK, after a £2.7m investment from Hill Capital Partners Food & Beverage Fund.

Roberts told M&C Report that the three-strong group was looking at a “couple of opportunities” in London for its Oast House and Botanist pub formats, with the new venture set to be overseen by Chris Hill, who has worked for Living Ventures for the last 10 years.

It is currently on site at Liverpool docks working on a fourth pub, which is being developed under the working title ’The Lodge’.

Roberts said: “We are really happy with how the first sites have been received and are looking forward to adding the right sites to the estate going forward.”

New World Pubco, which was launched in 2011, currently operates two pubs, The Oast House in Spinningfields, Manchester and The Botanist in Alderley Edge. A second Botanist pub has just opened at the new Leeds Trinity shopping scheme.

Hill Capital Partners Food & Beverage Fund is the specialist fund operated by Paul Campbell’s Hill Capital Partners and LDC.

Campbell, Bacon and Roberts will be non-executive directors of New World Pubco.
