New World Trading Company, the Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts-led group, has secured the Living Room site in Chester, for what will become its fifth pub site next March and has a further two sites in the pipeline, M&C Report has learnt.

The company, which will open its fourth site – Smugglers Cove in Liverpool on 6 November – will operate the site under it’s the Botanist format.

The group, which is backed by a£2.7m investment from the Hill Capital Partners Food & Beverage Fund, is believed to be in talks on a pair of further pub sites, including its first in Lodnon.

It plans to grow from four sites to 15 or 20 sites over the next three years.

Bacon told M&C Report earlier this year: “Next year we are looking to do four to five units assuming we can find the sites. The idea of having some hubs, if you like, makes a great deal of sense to me.”

Bacon, who founded the Living Room brand, highlighted Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham as possible future locations.
