The British Franchise Association has confirmed that Marston’s is no longer a member of the trade body.

The BFA is a self-regulatory body covering all aspects of franchising, which provides advice to franchisees and promotes the model.

Marston’s pioneered the large-scale use of franchising within the pub sector and in the last year carried out 33 conversions to its franchised estate.

The BFA confirmed to MCA that Marston’s is no longer a member but said it could not comment further. Marston’s did not respond to a request for comment.
