Marston’s, the brewer and pub operator, has exchanged contracts on four properties worth £18m.

The company has bought a 1.8 acre site on Clydesdale Way, Belvedere, south-east London from Norman Retail Belvedere, and a property at Stonestile Lane, Hastings, from Millwood Designer Homes.

It will refurbish and extend a redundant farmhouse and outbuildings at Pen Y Bont Farm, Mold, north Wales, bought from the receivers of Eatonfield Developments.

Marston’s has also secured a site in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, which the company will share with a 60-bed Premier Inn.

Steve Roberts, head of acquisitions for Marston’s, said: “We are aiming to open 25-30 new pubs a year so it is crucial we keep our pipeline flowing. These latest exchanges will ensure that we are on schedule to meet our corporate acquisitions target.”
