Mitchells & Butlers has begun converting sites to its new Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery brand, MCA has learnt.
The offer at Stonehouse is described as a stone baked pizza and carvery based offer, but also featuring pub classics such as hand battered fish, steak & ale pie and a range of burgers
An M&B spokesperson told MCA there were already “several businesses” currently trading under the model and there was a pipeline of future conversions, mainly but not exclusively from its Crown Carveries estate.
Earlier this year Phil Urban told MCA that the group was toying with a name change for its fledgling Sizzling Pizza & Carvery concept.
The group is also understood to be developing a new format under the working title Chicken Social.
