Living Ventures (LV), the north west-based restaurant and bar company led by Tim Bacon, has confirmed the details of its new casual dining site “with a couple of twists” called Artisan, which will open at the end of next month in Manchester’s Spinningfields.

Described by the company as its most challenging and exciting restaurant to date, Artisan will be spread across 12,000sq ft and feature all-day dining with two wood ovens and a “modestly priced, rustic menu”.

The venue will also include a 20ft long bar, which will see a selection of DJ’s playing on in-built decks throughout the week.

Housed in a semi-industrial space on the first floor of Avenue North in Spinningfields, the site will also feature sculptures, murals, art installations and furniture from the “very best artists and craftsmen”.

Bacon described his driving passion to create something different, something that Manchester has never seen before.

He said of Artisan: “It’s the people, the art and the food, you should always leave with a story. Whether a tale from a night spent feasting with friends on the Captain’s Table or a strip of pictures from the photo booth.”

Everything will be prepared in front of customers before “being thrown into the flames”.

The company said: “The team of chefs will take cooking back to basics; with fresh, interesting ingredients cooked using age-old primal techniques, this is casual dining at its best.”
